Abstract：
“Kanemi Yusho” is the biggest food pollution occurred in Japan at 1968. The causative chemicals were polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs), derived from heated PCB for deodorant and they are mixed in rice bran oil accidentally. Now, more than 50 years later, similar symptoms and congenital abnormalities those of their parents consumed directly the contaminated rice bran oil have been reported in the second and third generations It has been speculated that these symptoms in “Kanemi Yusho” may be induced by the mechanism of TEI in humans. Since in mammals such as rats and mice, TEI have been reported to be induced by dioxins. Furthermore, dioxins have been found to induce epi-mutations in the genome-imprinted gene H19/IGF2 in both animals and humans (Gaspari, 2018,Viluksela,2019, Yun, 2017, Giuliani, 2018). They may be causing diseases of the reproductive system, cardiovascular system, osteogenesis, psychiatry, etc. (Ma,2015, Sélénou, 2020). I would like to review them and discuss the possibility of TEI occurred in “Kanemi Yusho”.
